The Edelrid Rap Line Protect Pro Dry Cord 6 mm is an accessory cord with a dynamic safety reserve, built from a polyamide and aramid combination. At 31 g per metre it is light enough to carry as a dedicated rappel line rather than a second rope.

Features and Benefits

The dynamic safety reserve is the unusual part. Edelrid states the cord withstands the two standard falls required of a dynamic twin rope under EN 892. That no ordinary 6 mm cord will do.

Additionally, the aramid content raises cut resistance under load. That is what you want when a loaded line runs over a sharp limestone edge. Edelrid rates it sharp edge approved and has increased maximum tensile strength above 10 kN.
