Honey Badger Small Wharncleaver Knife D2 Steel

Honey Badger Small Wharncleaver Knife D2 Steel

The Honey Badger Small Wharncleaver Knife D2 Steel pairs a blunt-tipped straight edge with D2 tool steel in a compact 71 mm (2.8 in) blade. You get the safety-minded Wharncleaver shape with a steel known for holding an edge. It suits a recovery kit as well as a camp box.

Features and Benefits

The D2 Wharncleaver blade combines two strengths. The straight edge gives clean, controlled cuts through tape, cable ties and card, and the blunt tip is designed to reduce the risk of accidental injury. D2 is a high-carbon tool steel known for holding an edge through repetitive cutting.

Additionally, D2 is less corrosion resistant than fully stainless steel, so wipe the blade dry after use in humid air or near the sea. There is no finger choil, so the whole edge is usable. A liner lock holds the blade open while you work.

Beyond that, the FRN handle has Honey Badger's honeycomb grip, which the brand states resists slipping even when wet. The clip moves to either side for deep-pocket carry. The knife weighs 73 g (2.6 oz), measures 166 mm (6.5 in) open, and carries a 10-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

Product-Specific Use Cases

Keep Honey Badger Small Wharncleaver Knife D2 Steel in the 4x4 recovery bag for Sweihan or Al Faya trips, where it cuts strap, tape and cable ties. At a winter camp in the Mleiha desert it opens supplies and trims tarp line. Wipe it dry after humid coastal weekends.
