National Geographic 90/1250 Maksutov-Cassegrain GoTo Telescope

The National Geographic 90/1250 Maksutov-Cassegrain GoTo Telescope takes the guesswork out of finding things in the sky. A motorised mount and handbox computer locate celestial objects for you, so new stargazers spend the night observing rather than searching.

Features and Benefits

The computerised GoTo mount has motors in both axes. Once aligned, it finds and points to targets through the handbox, which is a real help when you are still learning the constellations.

Additionally, the Maksutov-Cassegrain optics pack a long 1,250 mm (49.2 in) focal length into a short 280 mm (11 in) tube. The 90 mm (3.5 in) aperture shows lunar craters, Jupiter's cloud bands and the rings of Saturn.

Furthermore, two Kellner eyepieces (25 mm and 12.5 mm) give 50x and 100x, and the maximum recommended magnification is 180x. An LED red dot finder, built-in compass, moon filter, astronomy software and star map complete the kit.

Product-Specific Use Cases

Set National Geographic 90/1250 Maksutov-Cassegrain GoTo Telescope up at a camp in Liwa or Al Quaa and let the mount walk you through the planets and bright clusters. The optical tube weighs just 1.2 kg (2.6 lb), so packing it for a weekend away is easy.
