Description

The Shamal Village Hike is a 6 km loop with 150 m of elevation gain from Shamal in Ras Al Khaimah, graded Beginner.

Trail Highlights

  • Good for: first-time hikers, families and relaxed walkers
  • Best season: October to April
  • Dirt road start leading into the Wadi Haqeel valley
  • Viewpoint over an abandoned village and Shamal

Expect loose rocks throughout and a steeper slope on one side of the loop, with little shade. Bring water, sun protection and high-cut shoes.
