Silva Free 1200 S LED Headlamp

Silva Free 1200 S LED Headlamp

The Silva Free 1200 S LED Headlamp pairs a 1200 lumen unit with the 24.1 Wh S battery, which is the combination built for sessions that run long rather than fast. There is no cable hanging off it, because the wiring lives inside the headband.

Features and Benefits

The S battery is what you are paying for. At 24.1 Wh it holds 1200 lm for 1.5 to 3 hours, 500 lm for 4 to 8 hours and 80 lm for 25 hours, and it charges over USB-C in about 4.5 hours with the cable included.

Additionally, max mode throws 150 m (492 ft), med reaches 100 m (328 ft) and min covers 45 m (148 ft). Silva Intelligent Light blends a long spot with a close flood, which cuts the head movement you make scanning between your feet and the trail ahead.

Beyond that, the whole system is modular. Lamp unit, battery and mount all separate, so the same lamp moves to a helmet or a handlebar and you can buy a bigger battery later instead of a new headlamp.

Plus, airflow cooling keeps output stable when you are moving slowly, a five LED indicator sits on the battery, there is a red safety light at the back, and everything meets IPX5. The Free series took an ISPO Award in 2023.

Product-Specific Use Cases

Built for trail running on Hatta and Showka loops through the UAE season, and for long Jebel Jais efforts that start or finish in the dark. Twelve hundred lumens is more than a marked path needs and about right for a rocky descent at pace. Runners travelling to cooler ranges get the same lamp with a cold-weather battery option.
