Silva Free 2000 M LED Headlamp

Silva Free 2000 M LED Headlamp

The Silva Free 2000 M LED Headlamp sits between the S and the L, pairing the 2000 lumen unit with a 36 Wh battery. Full output runs 1.5 to 3 hours, which is the window most night rides and long trail sessions actually fall into, and the whole system weighs 326 g.

Features and Benefits

The M battery is the sensible middle. It doubles the S battery's time at 800 lm, from 2.5 to 5 hours up to 3 hours 45 to 7.5 hours, and stretches min mode from 25 hours to 35, for 53 g more weight.

Additionally, this pack ships with more than the S. A 130 cm extension cable lets the battery ride in a pocket or pack, and a top band is included for keeping a heavier setup stable when the ground gets rough.

Beyond that, reach is the same as every 2000 lumen unit at 180 m (591 ft) on max, 115 m (377 ft) on med and 45 m (148 ft) on min. Silva Flow Light lets you tilt the lamp to widen or lengthen the beam, the headband carries the wiring internally, and lamp and battery both meet IPX5. The Free series took an ISPO Award in 2023.

Product-Specific Use Cases

This is the pairing for a full evening at the Hatta Mountain Bike Trail Centre or a long Showka loop where a battery swap mid-session is not practical. With the extension cable, the battery goes in a pack and head weight drops back to 124 g, which is what your neck notices over three hours.
