Silva Free 2000 S LED Headlamp

Silva Free 2000 S LED Headlamp

The Silva Free 2000 S LED Headlamp puts a 2000 lumen unit on the 24.1 Wh S battery, and the reason to take it over the 1200 is reach. Max throws 180 m (591 ft) against 150 m, which is what technical ground at speed actually asks for.

Features and Benefits

Two thousand lumens changes what you can ride or run at night. Max holds for 1 to 2 hours, med gives 800 lm for 2.5 to 5 hours at 115 m (377 ft), and min runs 80 lm for 25 hours at 45 m (148 ft) when you are climbing and do not need the distance.

Additionally, this unit adds Silva Flow Light on top of Intelligent Light. Tilt the lamp down and the beam widens for slower ground, tilt it forward and it reaches further, so the pattern follows the activity without you pressing anything.

Beyond that, the Silva Free 2000 S LED Headlamp weighs 124 g on its own and 273 g with the battery, the cable runs inside the headband, and airflow cooling holds output when you are not generating wind. Everything detaches for a helmet or bar mount, the battery carries a five LED indicator and flashes at 10 percent, and lamp and battery meet IPX5. The Free series took an ISPO Award in 2023.

Product-Specific Use Cases

This is the pick for night laps at the Hatta Mountain Bike Trail Centre and for fast descents on Showka and Mleiha singletrack, where 150 m of reach runs out before your speed does. It also suits Jebel Jais road descents after dark, where seeing the next corner early is the whole point.
